In chapter 1 JoJo talks about the tools and equipment needed to drape

  • Tools and equipment needed
  • Preparing your dummy to be draped
  • Sizing up your dummy to the next size or to your body measurements
  • Draping on a real figure

Chapter 2,3 and 4

  • Teaches you how to drape a waist and hip block
  • How to sew various seam finishes without an overlocker
  • Balance and Fitting issues
  • A unique way of gluing block together without a sewing machine
  • Dart manipulation- how to transfer darts into different positions
  • JoJo explains in micro details the hows and whys of draping and creating the foundation dress blocks that in part 2 will be developed in a classic sheath dress

  • Dress form /Dummy or a real figure
  • Sewing machine Overlocker (optional)
  • Sewing threads
  • Hand stitching needles
  • Pins
  • Fabric
  • Chalk
  • Tape measure
  • Pens, pencils and Sharpie
  • Rulers (various lengths up to a metre)
  • L square
  • Invisible zip
  • Scrap lining or lightweight fabric
  • Iron, masking tape
  • 8 or 10 inch scissors
