All Bespoke suits are made on the premises at JoJo's shop ... The process involves the customer choosing the cloth and lining together with an informal chat about what the suit will be used for: business, formal or casual .After measurements are taken the suit will be cut out according to the figuration of each customer. A first fitting just consisting of the wool canvas that is the scaffolding of the suit attached to the jacket front will be tacked on without the pockets with temporary stitches to check the fit of the suit .
Once JoJo is happy with the fit ,the suit will be taken apart and recut ready for a second fitting ..
At the second fitting stage ,all pockets will be in place permanently and linings will all be basted/tacked in place .
At this stage the customer can clearly see how the suit will finally look ..
JoJo will fine tune what needs to be amended then the suit will be stitched permanently with handstitches.
At the third and final fitting the under collar will be on to check everything sits well and sleeve are correctly at right length..
The suit is finished with all handmade buttonholes..
An average Bespoke suit takes around 60-70 hours and has thousands of handstitching that truly sculpts the suit to fit the customers..
Many Companies today purport to do bespoke but send them off to a factory .
This is called made to measure and is totally different from true BESPOKE..
